CCR
The Centre for Clinical Robotics (CCR) started in 2021 with the aim of promoting robot technology and to ensure that the research and implementation of robot technology at Odense University Hospital is targeted towards benefiting staff as well as patients.
CCR works closely with the clinical staff at the hospital and is thus attentive to the needs and wishes that arise during the daily workflows.
The centre focuses on research and the development and testing of hardware robots for use in treatment, logistics and automation. It is the first of its kind in Denmark. CCR has a close collaboration with the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute at the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark.
The collaboration is the cornerstone of the centre’s research and innovation projects, and the Institute is essential when it comes to the implementation of robot technology.
