The Department of Pathology provides diagnostic services within all fields of surgical and anatomical pathology as well as cytology and molecular pathology.

We aim to provide all types of diagnostics (cancer inkl. tumor classification, inflammatory and degenerative diseases) as quickly as possible. We have frequent and direct communications with our clinical colleagues at Odense University Hospital and other hospital departments in the region of Southern Denmark. We also provide services to specialist doctors in the primary sector, incl. dentists.

Active participation in multidisciplinary team conferences is essential for us. The patients and the teams treating clinicians should not have to wait any longer than necessary. We know that every day counts.

We do our utmost to adhere to central agreements regarding reporting times. It is important to us that our pathology reports are clear and concise.

We diagnose according to national guidelines and perform relevant tissue banking. When possible, we participate in national and international scientific studies.
