Anesthesia for surgery and diagnostic examinations, specializing in outpatient surgery.
The recovery section receives patients from all surgery wards at OUH Svendborg Hospital.
The intensive care unit receives critically ill patients from all specialist areas at OUH Svendborg Hospital.
The physician-manned mobile emergency care unit provides pre-hospital care to patients in need of immediate advanced acute care.
The number of employees comprises 230 physicians, nurses, social and health care assistants and staff.
The Department trains anesthesiologists and registered anesthesia nurses, operating room nurses, and recovery room nurses. Additionally, they train registered intensive care nurses and have educational obligations towards nurses, paramedics and medical students.
