The Department performs highly specialized treatments in haematology for patients from the Region of Southern Denmark.
The Department is organized in two clinical teams so that patients and relatives are followed by the same physicians and nurses in the individual sections.
- The L-team is responsible for treatment, care and monitoring of patients with lymph node cancer (malignant lymphoma) and bone marrow cancer (myeloma).
- The M-team is responsible for treatment, care and monitoring of patients with acute leukemia, chronic myeloproliferative diseases and benign blood diseases.
- Malignant lymphoma (pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment)
- Myeloma (pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment)
- Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment)
- Acute leukemia (pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment)
- Chronic myeloproliferative diseases including CML (pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment and epidemiology)
- Benign haematological diseases (treatment and epidemiology)
