The Patient hotel

The hotel is situated in connection with Odense University Hospital, which makes it easier for you and your guest to have easy access to the Hospital, when you have an appointment.

The hotel is an attractive alternative to patients who are self-reliant, while under treatment at the hospital.

You are treated as a guest in a modern and relaxed atmosphere, with your own room.

The hotel offers single rooms with bathroom, TV, telephone, and alarm system. As a guest you can come and go, as you please.

Our facilities include washing facilities.

The main door is locked at 22.30. If your guest wishes to stay overnight, it has to be organized through the ward, where you are receiving treatment.

Check-in at the hotel

Check-in at the reception area in the hotel on a day to day basis. If your room is not avilable, when your arrive, we can store your luggage for later check-in.

Prices

For all admitted patients, the stay is free of charge. So are the meals and certain beverages.

If you are an outpatient please contact your ward for information.

Guests/relatives

Relatives to patients admitted at the hospital can stay at the hotel. The ward responsible handles the booking. Available rooms for relatives/guests can not be guaranteed.

All rooms are single rooms with possibility for two additional beds.

As a paying guest staying more than one week, we kindly ask you to pay on a weekly basis.

If you do not have a Danish social security number, we would like you to pay daily.

In the restaurant we kindly ask you to pay by cash or by credit card at every meal time.

How do I get in contact with the hotel personnel?

Our professional nurses in the reception can be contacted 24 hours a day. You can always contact the reception by phone, if you have any questions about your treatment. Our nurses can help you to remember your appointments with the wards at the Hospital, if it is needed.

The service staff the hotel are here to help you with your room, if you should need assistance. A service assistant is available on every floor of the hotel.

The hotel service staff will clean your room on a daily basis, but not on the weekends, we therefore ask you to change your own towels on weekends. Clean towels are provided on the bench outside the rooms.

If you wish not to be disturbed, there is a ‘Do not disturb’ sign in your room. Please place it on the outside handle of your door.

We would like to point out to you, that the daily cleaning of the rooms is only done until 13.00.

The hotel Kitchen and restaurant

The hotel has its own kitchen and restaurant. The kitchen has several cooks and a chef, who provide healthy good quality food at a reasonable price.

Meals are served at the following times:

Weekdays:
Breakfast buffet: 07.00-09.00
Lunch buffet: 11.00-13.30
Dinner: 17.00-19.30

Weekends:
Breakfast buffet: 07.30-09.00
Lunch buffet: 11.00-13.00
Dinner: 17.00-19.30

If it is not possible for you to attend to the meals, please contact the restaurant, so food can be put aside for you.

The restaurant is open between 07.00-21.30 on weekdays, where you besides the buffets can buy coffee, tea, bread, fruit and drinks/beverage.

As a patient or relative you are welcome to bring guests to the restaurant. Visitors will however have to pay for their own meals. Information about the menu and prices is available in the restaurant.

In the reception, you can rent a kettle and hairdryer.

It is not allowed to bring food to the room unless you have made prior arrangements with the reception.

Check-out

Patients are asked to check-out before 13.00 on the day of departure. Relatives are asked to check-out before 11.00. Patients and relatives are still allowed to use the facilities until lunch. For further questions, please contact the reception.

If you depart later than check-out time, you will be charged for another day.

How do I get in and out of the hotel, when the doors are locked?

The hotel doors are locked between 22.30-06.00. If you wish to leave the premises within these hours press the door opener “TRYK”.

Other facilities

In the reception there is a small shop, where you can buy nappies, (toiletries)? and gifts.

You can also borrow the daily paper, which can be read in the reception or the restaurant.

Washing machine and drier is available on the 3rd floor. Please buy tokens in the reception.
